Lately we have been getting a lot of questions about the led Spectrabox from LFG. A frequently asked question is what the difference is between the white Pro version and the Yellow Gold variant. We have therefore listed all the differences for you here. In addition, you will find additional photos of both lamps here. In this way, we hope that customers can better choose between both lamps.
Difference in yield.
The advanced Pro-III series delivers approximately 1.92 micromol per Watt. The extended Gold variant delivers approximately 2 micromol per Watt. This is more than an HPS lamp that delivers an average of 1.85 micromol per Watt. Various studies in greenhouse horticulture have shown that LED grow lights deliver 30% to 40% more yield per micromole than traditional HPS lamps.
The big difference: The controls.
The big difference is in the operation of the lamp. The Spectrabox Pro uses a switch button with which you can switch between the growth and flowering spectrum. The Gold variant is intended for the more experienced grower. With this you can set the spectrum yourself. For the growth and flowering part there is a separate controller (rotary knob) on the lamp. This way you can adjust the spectrum precisely to the phase in the growing cycle.
