The recent search for a very energy-efficient grow light has yielded surprising results. For example, it was decided to combine an LED with induction, which resulted in a completely new and very energy-efficient grow light. This light would also have an optimal light spectrum for plants that are in both the growth and flowering phase.
250W Sunflower
The 250W Sunflower, the name given to this special lamp, actually combines the best of both worlds. First of all, it is equipped with an induction lamp of 200 Watt that has a color temperature of 2100 Kelvin. This is ideal for plants that are still in the flowering phase. But that is not all, because in addition to the induction lamp, the grow lamp is also equipped with a 50 Watt LED grow lamp that provides the right lighting for plants that are still in the growth phase.
Postponement of use of induction lamp
The above actually states it all, the fact that the 200 Watt induction lamp only needs to be used during the flowering phase of the plant ensures that the Sunflower is particularly energy-efficient. During the entire growth phase, the much more economical 50 Watt LED grow lamp is used. At the moment that the flowering of the plants has started, you ensure that both lamps are switched on so that the plants can optimally benefit from 250 Watt of light and that in a perfect spectrum.
Up to 50% energy savings
The ability to switch both lamps on and off separately ensures that energy savings of up to 50 percent can be achieved in the short term. If both lamps are switched on simultaneously during the flowering phase, only 65 degrees Celsius of heat is produced. If we compare that with the 460 degrees of an HPS, it immediately becomes clear that this lamp offers the perfect solution to heat problems in warm attics. That too is an advantage that should not be underestimated. Finally, the Sunflower has an extremely long lifespan of no less than 50,000 burning hours and is available in stores at a cost price of 449 euros.
