Lately we often get questions which led grow light customers should choose. Almost always this depends on a large number of factors which are described below.
Room:
The height and surface of your growing space are particularly important. For each product, we therefore indicate how much space the lamp can illuminate at most. For an average growing tent (120 x 120 x 180), you can choose a 150W or 200W LED Spectabox, for example. For a large space, you will need more lamps or a growing lamp with more power.
The number and type of plants:
For an average grow tent of 1.2 square meters you can count on 4-6 plants. However, if you want to grow more plants on a square meter, you will also need more light output.
The investment:
This is of course important for every grower. How quickly will I get my investment back? For this we have placed a handy savings calculator on the site. With this you can see directly how quickly the investment in led is earned back!
Color spectrum
Many suppliers of LED grow lights offer grow lights with only a few colours. Often these are the colours red (flowering) and blue (growth). However, to grow a full cycle, the plant needs more light colours in the photosynthesis process. Our LED grow lights therefore often have a broader spectrum with ultraviolet light, which is ideal for plants.
We also often get questions about the number of lumens of the LED grow lights. This is not mentioned with the products because this is not important for a grow light, unlike normal LED lights. With grow lights, it is more about the light colours that are used. For example, if a plant gets green light of 1000 lumens, this has no effect because the plant cannot absorb green light.
