E40 - CMH Adapter | Switch from HPS to CMH and improve your yield
This lamp adapter can be screwed into an E40 (HPS) fitting, after which a CMH 315W lamp with a PGZ18 fitting can be placed in it.
Why grow with CMH instead of HPS?
If you have a nice big Wing reflector and want to switch from HPS to CMH, this adapter is a great solution. CMH lamps offer a much better light spectrum and you can see that in the quality of the end product.
CMH lamps also last much longer. HPS lamps last efficiently for about 10,000 hours, CMH lamps for 25,000 hours!
CMH ballast
Please note that standard HPS ballasts are not suitable for controlling CMH lamps. For this you need a special CMH ballast.
